The 6th Hunger Games Chapter 3

             I can't believe what I just did. Sure I saved a life, but now I'm sure to die. I will probably die first. I find more intrest in animals and gymnastics then killing people and using weapons. I took a deep breath again and walked up the steps on the stage. Miranda started to walk back to her area.She was still sniffling and Cici grabbed her and hugged her like she was about to face certain death, but she kinda was.
             "That's the spirit!" Selena said as I took my place on stage."What is your name and age  miss?"
             "Juniper Riche. I'm 15."
             "Miss Riche is in the Games spirt!" She can be as excited as she wants. She's not going to die in 3 days. "Now the boy tribute is," she continued. I was ready to face my possible killer. "Shiloh Green!" My eyes widened as if they were about to fall out. His name echoed in my head. Shiloh Green. I might as well drop dead now. Shiloh bounded up the steps and took his spot on stage next to me. He had a smirk like Ray, probably because Ray rubbed of on him. Shiloh is 18 and hangs out with Ray all the time. Ray is probaby dieing of laughter that his friend is going to kill me.
             Here's the thing about Shiloh. He has huge muscles and can probably punch me so hard, his fist would decapitate me. Next he is fast. No one can out-run him but Ray. Lastly, he is good with hunting and almost every weapon. I haven't seen Shiloh use a bow and arrow before, but I haven't even seen anyone shoot something with a bow and arrow; except on T.V when the games are being recorded.
             "Your tributes everybody!" Selena says loudly. Everyone clapped and cheered for Shiloh I suppose, because I don't know why people would cheer for me. Soon we both go upstairs to different rooms. The first to walk in is Liona.
             "JUNI!" she screamed at me. Her minimal make-up smeared from crying. "I can't believe this! I can't believe YOU!" It was hard to hear her from choking on tears and gasping for air. She ran over to me and gripped me tightly. She knew and I knew well, I was about to lose my only friend.
             "I'm sorry! I couldn't stand it! She was about to face certain death! I had to help her. Did you see her and Cici!? How could I let that happen!?" By now the tears were pouring down.
             "What about me Juni,what about your family!? You want to help stangers but not yourself!" I knew she was right. We both started to just hold each other and cry our eyes out until Peacekeepers came and told her to leave. I knew I would never forget her.
             Next came in my family. Mom and dad were crying making Riley cry too. Then I hugged them all. "I'm sorry. I don't know why I did it!" I tried to say during breaths. I never knew how hard it was to cry and talk at the same time. Probably because I don't normally cry.
             "Oh Juni, no matter what you, do we will always love you!" dad said through his tears. Dad only cried when Ray went in the games. But his tears dried quickly knowing that he had a big chance of winning. I have a negitive chance of winning. I bet I'll get no sponsers. Mom is crying to much to say anything. Again, because she knows I have no chance. Soon Peacekeepers come and tell them to leave. I gave mom and dad the biggest hugs ever. I wanted to hold Riley one last time. Once she was in my arms I whispered I'm sorry in her ear. Then more tears came. I gave her a hug and Ray took her in his arms.
             "I knew you do that," he says while walking away, "Good luck against Shiloh. You'll need it." He laughs and gives me the smirk.
             I'm about to leave when the Peacekeeper says,"You have more people to see you." I didn't know of anyone else who would want to see me. I went back in and sat down. In walked it two beautiful, tall girls with brown hair and shocking green eyes. Miranda and Cici. Both had messed up make-up and red faces from crying.
             "We can't thank you enough Juni." says the one on the right I believe is Cici.
             "I know you both are glued together, I couldn't see just one." I tell them.
             "Thank you so much. Me and Cici are ever so greatful for what you did." says the one on the left who I now know is Miranda.
             "It's fine. Someone has to go in right?" I try to giggle a little. I know it's not fine that I'm now going to die soon.
             Soon Peacekeepers came and told them to leave. They told me good luck and thank you again. Now to the train to the Capitol. Yay. I walk out of the room and see Shiloh walking out to. He glances at me with his black eyes and laughs. Most likely because I'm going to be this first kill.
             I walk out of the Justice Building and start towards the train. There was a mob of people waiting for us to get on the train. I was walking through the people when I saw my family. Mom started crying again. I tried to look down so I didn't have to see my crying family and Liona crying her eyes out too. I started to zig zag my way through the crowd until I next to her I told her to take care of the animals for me and I will miss you. I gave her one last hug before people started forcing me on the train. As soon as I took one step on I heard one voice over them all. Riley. She just said her first word. I turn around and I see her saying in her baby voice,"Juni." Then I'm forced on and I look out the unclosed door. "Juni." she says again. Then the doors close and we start moving. I sit right where I was when I heard Riley. I slid to the ground. I was sitting there in the hall, tears coming down my face like a waterfall, staring at the door, wishing I was on the other side, back home, playing with Riley, talking to Liona, ignoring remarks made from Ray. Now my life is with the Shiloh the person who will kill me first.
             I wish life had a rewind button.
